Basement Art
It’s coming up to 6 years since the basement in the Factory was taken over by the Basement Artists. Since then they have gone from strength to strength with regular exhibitions and networking.
Basement Artists came about due to the need for local creative spaces. Through local networking events and signposting artists to the Factory, the local arts scene helped with the promotion of The Factory’s Basement Artists’ space.
Utilising spaces within the basement, the artists created their own studio/work areas, helping and supporting each other. They have become a great community of artists.
Working in a variety of mediums including ceramic, slip casting, oils, pastels, acrylics, found objects and more…….
The Basement Artists currently comprises of:
Dawn Hoban
Steve Dudley
O’Neil Meredith
Jeff Davies
Rhys Burton
Eric Thomas
Gervaise James
Jo Clarke
We will feature each of the artists and their work on a monthly basis. Click on the artist’s name to find out more about their work.
