Helping Working Families Connecting Communities
Helping Working Families funds projects that bring about positive change in the lives of working families who are affected by poverty and supporting a child.
After discussions with working families already involved in the project we created theme circles as areas of focus. These are currently:
- Art/Culture;
- Food;
- Environment;
- Education;
- Fun & relaxing;
- Family Holidays
Opportunities to earn and spend time credits in the above areas have been created in line with the requests of the community
Family Activities
Just like The Factory’s Facebook page and message us to be added to the private Family Activities Group. It is a supportive community where you can get involved with lots of activities, such as on-line coffee mornings, quizzes and you can find some great ideas to do with your family.
We had some fantastic entries for our Easter Competition! Have a look at the wonderful creations here.
Following on from our recent post and competition around the Big Schools Bird Watch, we have received some fantastic photos from Caleb Harley (age 4). Caleb has made bird cake, a bird house and followed our easy step by step instructions and drawn an amazing bird!! Well done Caleb- you have won one of our cuddly penguins!
Why not follow Caleb’s idea and make some bird cake or a bird house? There’s some suggestions for cheap and fun activities here.
Sparc – Valleys Kids Youth Arts Project who are based here in the Factory have joined forces with Valleys Kids Future Families Team to support the well being of children and families at this difficult time:. Why not cwtch up and listen to some magical stories as a family? Puddle Jump Project
We update this page regularly so keep checking back for new competitions and activities !
We will also be offering on-line training opportunities too; working with partners such as Radio Platfform.
